The Concept
The first South African online customs compliance system was developed to help importers and exporters to:

Stay compliant with ongoing changes in customs regulations following the modernisation of global and South African Customs operations.

Meet the requirements of new legislation which requires greater compliance - to prevent increased risk to traders and cargo owners.

Benefit from the knowledge and insight of the founder of CusComIT, customs guru Graeme Lennie (MBA, NMMU).

What we found

1Many traders are not aware of the need to stay current with Customs regulations.

2Companies are not adequately protecting their intellectual property, such as parts list.

3It is important for companies to reduce risk and save costs.

Easy to use

1CusComIT is designed so that it can be mastered quickly by anyone.

2The big differences is that the information is secure and not open to anyone without the correct sign-in rights.

3The CusComIT system is online and easily accessible from any electronic device. No additional hardware or software is required.

Are you convinced yet?

So, how does it work?

Setting it up is easy - importers and agents upload their company head office and branch office profiles online.

Importers add their parts lists and other customs data, which is then linked live to the customs tariffs on the CusComIT system.

The customs profiles may be viewed or managed by any number of internal company personnel who have the required clearance.

Customs Clearing agents may also be granted online access to their client profiles (by the clients) so that the agents may view or update relevant information.

The system has unique interfaces for importers and agents. User access control is easily managed by company and branch administrators.
